Tay Nguyen highland tour

Tay Nguyen translated as Western Highlands and sometimes also called Central Highlands. It contains the provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum Lam Dong.Tay Nguyen is a plateau bordering the lower part of Laos and northeastern Cambodia. Kon Tum Province shares a border with both Laos and Cambodia but Gia Lai Province and Dak Lak Province only share borders with Laos. Lam Dong Province is landlocked, and thus has no international border with any other nation.Tay Nguyen can be divided into 3 sub regions according to its deviation in topography and climate, Tay Nguyen has an average altitude of 500–600 m with basalt soil, suitable for planting coffee tree, cacao, pepper, and white mulberry. Cashew and rubber plants are also planted here. Coffee is the most important product of Tay Nguyen.Tay Nguyen contains in it many primitive forests and is protected in its national parks, such as Cat Tien National Park, Yok Don National Park.

Day 1: ARRIVE IN PLEIKU (L)
Upon arrival in Pleiku, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit village of Giarai people. Talk with local people and enjoy their local life. Overnight in Pleiku.

Day 2: PLEIKU - BUON MA THUOT (B, L)
After breakfast, drive on Ho Chi Minh trail to Buon Ma Thuot. Arrive in Buon Ma Thuot. Visit Don village of HMong people and a long bridge passing on Serepork river. Overnight  in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 3: BUON MA THUOT - RIDING ELEPHANT  (B, L)
After breakfast, ride a elephant from Jun to Mlieng village and lead to Lak lake. Have overview of local life and nature on elephantback. Return hotel by boat. After lunch, visit Gia Long, Dray Nur and Dray Sap. Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 4: BUON MA THUOT (B)
Free time to explore the city or shopping around before taking flight to the new destination. Trip ends.

A World Heritage Site, Ha Long Bay is one of the most beautiful places on earth. About 180 km from Ha Noi, the Bay covers an area of over 1,500 km with its picturesque blend of land, mountain and sea.  Dotted with thousands of rocky islands, it really is a natural sculpture on a gigantic scale. Numerous large and small islands of countless shapes rise from the sea along the 200-km stretch of coast. The islands are riddled with innumerable caves and grottoes offering spectacular stalactite displays.

Sailing in a romantic, traditional styled and luxurious junk boat named Huong Hai through World Heritage Site Halong Bay while watching mystical limestone karsts jutting out of emerald water will bring you a memorable experience that cannot be missed.

Day 1: HANOI – HALONG (L, D)
We will pick you up at your hotel around 8:00AM. Enjoying an interesting 3-hours drive to Ha Long city, visitors will have a chance to watch the rich ricefileds, water buffalos and daily Vietnamese village life. Arriving at Halong Bay, you will be transferred by tender to Huong Hai Junk and enjoy a welcome cocktail. A Vietnamese set menu lunch with fresh local seafood will be served on board while you embark on a fantastic cruise in Halong bay. Passing through Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island, Sail island, then you will visit Sung Sot cave and enjoy a swim at Soi Sim beach or Titop beach, relax on the beach and enjoy the sunset. A Vietnamese dinner is served on board. Overnight on the boat.

Day 2: HALONG – HANOI (Brunch)
After a small breakfast, you will visit Luon Cave on a small bamboo boat, then pass by to have a look at Man’s head island, Tortoise island from the Junks. A brunch will be served from 9:30 AM before checking out and arranging luggage. Arrive at Halong wharf around 11:30 AM. Bus to Hanoi around 4:00 PM. The trip ends.

EXPLORE HILL TRIBE PEOPLE

Night 1: HANOI – LAO CAI
Pick up and transfer to railway station at 8:00 PM to catch a night train to Lao Cai( Soft sleeper with air condition, 4 bunks in one cabin). Overnight on the train.

 Day 1: SAPA – BAN HO – THANH PHU – SIN CHAI (L, D)
The bus ride up hill to Sa Pa takes a little over an hour giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces.

The day commences with a jeep ride to the trekking route. The trek starts by walking through the incredibly scenic   “Ban Ho” valley. Here you will have the opportunity to visit and explore the wooden houses, which traditionally belong to the Tay ethnic minority. You will then continue to walk to Thanh Phu village where you stop for lunch in a local house. After lunchtime, you head to Sin Chai village of Red Dao minority where the night will be spent in bamboo huts. You will be attracted by the wonderful hospitable atmosphere of the Red Dao. Overnight in homestay.

Day 2: SIN CHAI – NAM NHIU – MY SON – NAM TOONG – SAPA (B, L)
You start the trek today by walking downhill toward the My Son village, which belongs to the Xafo ethnic minority, one of the smallest group’s ethnic in Northern Vietnam. After one and a half hours walk to the Red Dao village of Nam Toong, lunch will be prepared and served. After lunch you will descend back to Ban Ho village, where you will be able to enjoy a swim at the nearby beautiful waterfall of La Vie. You will then ascend to Su Pan, where the car is waiting to take you back to Sapa. Overnight in hotel in Sapa.

Day 3: SAPA – HA NOI (B)
After breakfast at your hotel, free time to explore Sapa town before getting bus to Lao Cai station to get night train back to Ha Noi. Overnight on the train.

Day 4: ARRIVE IN HA NOI
Arrive in Ha Noi around 5:00AM. The trip ends at Ha Noi station.

MEKONG DELTA SLEEPING ON BOAT

The Mekong Delta is the bottom half of Vietnam's two rice baskets, the other being the Red River Delta in the North . This vast delta is formed by the deposition of the multiple tentacles and tributaries of the mighty Mekong River which has its origin in the Tibetan highland plateau 2,800 miles away. From its source, the river makes its way through China, Myanmar (Burma), Laos,  Cambodia and South Vietnam before flowing out into the South China Sea. The Mekong's Vietnamese name, Cuu Long, means Nine Dragons for the nine mouths that terminate the flow of this great river as it is absorbed by the sea.
The people of south Vietnam are often very proud of the richness and vastness of this land. Today, the region is one of Vietnam's highest producer of rice crops, vegetables and fruits.

Day 1: HO CHI MINH – VINH LONG – CAN THO (L, D)

Depart from your hotel around 8:00AM for Vinh Long, visit My Thuan suspension bridge enroute. Take boat trip on Mekong River to visit Cai Be floating market, a typical bustling trade on water of southern villagers. Continue to small channel of An Binh Islet. Visit ceramic tile factory, ceramics, coconut candy factory, and a rice husking business, stop to enjoy fruits in the orchards, home–made honey alcohol, local traditional songs or visit famous Bonsai of gaderner Sau Giao, sapling garden of Tam Ho. Transfer to Can Tho after lunch at local garden to visit Ninh Kieu wharf. Overnight  on Mekong eyes Junk.

Day 2: CAN THO – HO CHI MINH (B)

After breakfast, take a boat tour on Mekong River, enjoy splendid sceneries and daily activities on water of the southern villagers, watch from a viewing tower above the tree tops as thousands of egrets and herons arriving to roost in the branches. Visit Cai Rang floating market, orchards and enjoy fruits. Return to Ho Chi Minh city. Trip ends

North East of Vietnam

HA GIANG - DONG VAN - MEO VAC - BA BE - BAN GIOC - CAO BANG

Day 1: HANOI – HA GIANG (300KM)
Drive 300km on Highway 3 to Ha Giang. On the way, stop at Thai Nguyen to visit the museum of the cultures of Vietnam's ethnic groups and Tuyen Quang. Stop for lunch, then continue on the beautiful road along Lo river to Ha Giang. Overnight in Ha Giang.

Day 2: HA GIANG – YEN MINH – DONG VAN (200 KM)
Leave Ha Giang and head north for Yen Minh. On the way, visit Yen Minh local market - a typical colourful market of H'Mong, Lolo and Red Dzao people. Continue to Dong Van. Visit  Yen Minh local market (on Sundays only) and Meo King house - Vuong Chi Sin. Transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Dong Van.

Day 3: DONG VAN – MEO VAC (100 KM)
Visit Lung Cu - the Northest point of Vietnam. Depart for Meo Vac following the foot prints of Ma Phi Leng to visit a village of black H'Mong people – a remote and penniless village. Transfer to hotel. Overnight  in Meo Vac.

Day 4: MEO VAC – LUNG PHIN – BAC ME  (300 KM)
Drive to Lung Phin, visit a wild and pretty market. Discover more about diversifield cultures of local people while observing their activities. Continue to Bac Me. Check in at hotel and relax. Overnight in Bac Me.

Day 5: BAC ME – BA BE – PHU THONG (250 KM)
Leave for Ba Be. Take a boat trip to visit Babe lake, Dau Dang waterfall, Nguom Ngao grotto and Pac Ngoi village (home of Tay people). Transfer to Phu Thong. Overnight in Phu Thong

Day 6: PHU THONG – BAN GIOC – CAO BANG (250 KM)
Drive to Ban Gioc to visit the biggest waterfall, which is considered the most beautiful one in Vietnam, located at the border between Vietnam and China. Call on villages of Tay, Nung and Sai Diu poeple. Walk along their village and talk to local people. Return to Cao Bang. Overnight in Cao Bang.

Day 7: CAO BANG – HANOI (350 KM)
Leave Cao Bang for Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi. Trip ends.

STEP INTO A UNIQUE CULTURE

 HA NOI-NINH BINH- HALONG- HUE- HOI AN-HO CHI MINH- MEKONG

Day 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI
Upon arrival in Ha Noi, you will be picked up and transfered to your hotel for check in. You have free time to visit  36 Old Quarter streets, Hang Be market- a typical Vietnamese day market and enjoy a traditional water puppet show in the evening. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: HANOI – HOA LU –  HA NOI (B, L)
Departure from your hotel at 8:00 AM to Tam Coc, then cycling 15 minutes on a country road takes you to Thung Nang, a small dock, for rowing 1 hour on sampan boat in the heart of “Inland Ha Long Bay”. Take in the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. Stop for a short rest near a small shrine before returning to the boat and making your way back to the dock (1 hour).  Cycle back to Tam Coc village for lunch.Then transfer to Hoa Lu to to visit the historic capital of Viet Nam and the famous ancient temples of the Dinh and Le Dynasties. Drive back to Ha Noi. Overnight  in Ha Noi.

Day 3: HANOI – HA LONG (B, L, D)
Departure from your hotel at 8:00 AM to Halong Bay. Enjoy the interesting 3 hours drive to Ha Long where along the way you will see rice fields and daily Vietnamese village life. You will then be transferred by tender to a luxury Junk  and enjoy a welcome cocktail. A Vietnamese set menu lunch with fresh local seafood will be served on board while you embark on a cruise into the bay to see the incredible karst formations. We arrive by boat at Bat Cave (Hang Doi) where you will choose from optional tour program: visit local fishing village by tender or visit cave by rowing sampan or relax with beauty services or board. A Vietnamese dinner is served on board. Overnight on the boat.

Day 4: HA LONG – HA NOI – HUE (B)
At leisure or  enjoy Tai Chi instruction and sunrise on the sundeck. Depart by boat to Surprise Cave. An brunch will be served from 8:30AM to 10:00AM  in the morning. We will then start cruising in Halong Bay while you relax and take pictures. The cruise returns to Hon Gai, arrive in Halong at about 11:30AM. Back to Ha Noi around 16:00PM, then transfer to Noi Bai Airport to take short flight to Hue. Free time to explore the city. Overnigh in Hue.

Day 5: HUE – HOI AN (B, L)
Depart at 8:00Am from your hotel, we will be visiting the Forbidden Purple City, where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. We then continue to take a morning boat trip on the romantic Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda, Ming Mang and Tu Duc tombs. Following lunch, enjoy the scenic ride from Hue to Hoi An on the way. Free time in the ancient Hoi An town. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6:  HOI AN (B, L)
After breakfast at your hotel, depart at 8:00 AM for a half-day cooking class at Tra Que, a charming village which supplies vegetables to kitchens all over the town. Spend the morning working with the villagers as they show you the ways to harvest and prepare fresh vegetables for meals. Cook a lunch of Vietnamese dishes with your hosts before enjoying the fruits of your labour. Return to Hoi An for walking tour of the ancient town to visit the former merchant’s houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, ancient pagodas, temples, the colourful market and shopping around. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7: HOI AN – DA NANG – HO CHI MINH (B)
Free time on the beach or shopping around. Transfer to Da Nang airport to take flight to You have free time to visit the central quarters of Saigon with many buildings constructed during French colonialism, the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, and Ben Thanh market. Continue to visit China town of Saigon, stopping at Cho Lon, Binh Tay market, Thien Hau pagoda, and Ngoc Hoang temple. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh

Day 8:  HO CHI MINH – VINH LONG – CAN THO (L, D)
